Using high temprature resistant paints to create a spectacular airbrushed artwork depicting skulls and flames, THERMOX Mafia Black 1000°C Heat Resistant solution is applied directly over the top of the artwork making the exhaust system appear satin black whilst cold, revealing the airbrushed artwork once heat is applied.
Using standard 2K solutions you can coat just about any paintable object and have a highly durable finish. The compound solution would be equivalent to the paint on most automotive vehicles and can withstand light abrasions, scratches and environmental factors. The hardened surface allows for you to coat in a premium 2K clear coat for maximum shine or matting and extended durability.
This is a WORLD FIRST mutating living camo, adjusting its colour with the amount of UV sunlight it is exposed to, it will change from one shade to another instantly, evolving and adapting to various light intensities and shadows. This is the ultimate in outdoor activity (hunting)concealment.
Presto Chango!! Create a magic colour change instantly with sunlight. From a clear veneer to a blooming full colour, the transformation is unmistakable. Cover any base colour that is lighter than the chosen THERMOX UV reactive layer and apply directly over the top, you can finish your projects in any high end gloss, satin or matte clear coat to suit and protect the surface.
Applied directly over THERMOX NeFluroZ Fluorescent colours you can create stunning effects that go from a complete blackout through to a fantastic neon coating or invent your own base coat colour combination to show through when the item has been warmed up. THERMOX 30°C Thermochromic compounds are touch sensitive as seen here.
THERMOX has a series of colours available in the THERMOCHROMIC HEAT REACTIVE series including a beautiful icy blue coating that is touch sensitive. We base coated the sample speedshape in turquoise and coated it with THERMOX Ice Blue to get this stunning effect. Create your own combination by simply changing the base coat color.
That's right... you can modify your base coat to include hydrographic dipped imagery with the use of THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC solutions to mask the hidden graphics. We used THERMOX NeFluroZ Lime Green with hydro dipped zombie graphics then completely coated the piece in THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC Mafia Black.
Use THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC coatings as a pre-warning mechanism for then items that need to stay below certain temperatures heat up. We coated a computer hard drive shelf casing in apple green then coated it in THERMOX Mafia Black to indicate when (if ever) the hard drive that it would hold, heats up and/or exceeds 30°C. This could be the standalone reason for a functional piece of equipment being saved.
THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC coatings can be used as a variation undertone for hydrographic water transfer printing. As hydrographic prints can mostly be a semi transparent graphic, the base coat colour largely determines the overall image colour. As demonstrated, the Australian Hundred Dollar bills were dipped over a white base coat, that has a THERMOX Shamrock Green layer over the top. When cold the print is a very green keeping the image quite masked, then with added heat, the image becomes extremely prominent.
THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC coatings can be used to mask graphics within a graphic, whilst being the graphic....wrap your head around that. We simply mean that you can create a silhouette image with the THERMOX coatings, that mask out an underlying imagery that conforms to the same silhouette shape... still confusing?? well then just watch the video and hopefully you will see what we mean.
Complex yet simple, a coating that will change instantly with sunlight to a full lush colour, then revert back under shadows and low light. We coated this white speedshape in THERMOX UV Reactive Blue, you will see the amazing transition in seconds as it passes into and out of a well lit environment. Customise the effect with any base coat colour that will illuminate in the shadows and bloom into the THERMOX colour with the addition of UV sunlight.
Using THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC coatings as a base coat with hydrographics can open up a whole new dimension to graphic surfaces. We applied THERMOX Ice Blue to a white vent cover, then hydro dipped the object in a transparent skull pattern, allowing the blue and white to show through the skull images. When warm, the cover depicts white skulls and when cold, blue skulls. You can change your base coats and THERMOX coats to any combination to get your desired result.
THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC coatings can be used to mask graphics that have been hydro dipped onto the item. In this case, the Harley Davidson bike plastics were coated in red base coat, then dipped over a hydrographic film, and a THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC HEAT REACTIVE coating applied over the top and finished with a high gloss 2K urethane clear coat for a superior gloss level and protection against the elements.
Making the simple things fun, just for fun we coated a basic blue plastic container in THERMOX THERMOCHROMIC Mafia Black, this was one of the first ever items we tested it on back when we were just getting into custom paint manufacturing, just the transition we saw in this simple piece was enough to trigger the evolution of THERMOX into complete custom coating solutions.
These were a couple of quick test pieces we did on some air-ventilation covers, showing a massive change from the designated THERMOX coating to the underlying white base coat on both items. The significant colour change and touch reactive/heat reactive properties propelled THERMOX into pursuing more complex reactive coating solutions to suit a range of applications
